Greece is a walking country. Its city centres are compact and closed to through-traffic in patches, and the distance between an ancient ruin and a working produce market is often a single block. This is where TravelHubCam has its deepest coverage: real, unedited street-level walks, live webcam views and ambient recordings from the mainland and the islands.

Athens dominates the collection — more than thirty videos, grouped by neighbourhood, from the marble core beneath the Acropolis through Plaka and Monastiraki to the port at Piraeus and the residential districts most visitors never see. Thessaloniki, the capital of the north, is a different city: Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman layers pressed together along a seafront promenade, with the Rotonda, the Arch of Galerius and the church of Agia Sofia all a short walk from the central Aristotelous Square.

Beyond the two big cities the footage reaches Nafplio, the first capital of independent Greece and one of its best-kept old towns; Kalambaka, below the monasteries of Meteora; Volos on the Pagasetic Gulf; and Patras, the western port with the largest carnival in the country. Most of it is filmed at walking pace with no narration, in the season it was actually shot. New videos are added as they are filmed and reviewed.
